Excerpts from the interview with a person who underwent 50% wage surgery

The followings are the excerpts from the person who just came back from Burma.

1.I need to go to the Department of Labour (DOL),located in Kan-Be, Yankin for registration as overseas worker.

2.Before registration, DOL confirmed the concerned embassy by fax whether I'd paid 10% tax there.

3.Received upon confirmation, DOL issued the registration card as mentioned below:

(1) To pay 10% of wage as tax
(2) To remit 50% of wage to the family through MFTB
(3) To report to DOL on return back home

4.And I signed the 2-page bond in the presence of two guarantor who guarante me for fulfilling the conditions of the bond.

5. These two guarantor pledged Kyat 500,000 for each person and acknowledged that the government will take legal action to claim Kyat 500,000 in case of default of payment from me.

He said that it was a mind-torturing business and it has taken me at least three weeks to complete the required paperworks. It nearly costed my job.
