It was really nice to see the letter regarding the illegitimacy and corruption of Slorc. I have travelled to Burma twice in the last two years, and have first-hand experience of this oppressive, evil regime.
Burma is far from ready to participate in a grouping such as Asean. Allowing it to join only gave strength to Slorc, making the conditions of the have-nots, the majority, worse.
Unfortunately, what we believe, and what will happen are in opposition.
One can only continue to help increase awareness of Burma's situation, and hope that together we can come up with something that will bring about change for the good of the people.
